The newest chapter of Mikkeller Running Club in Lappeenranta kicks off on Saturday, September 20, 2025

How did it all begin?
Mikkeller Running Club was born over 10 years ago in Copenhagen. A group of friends got together to shed some “beer weight” – and rewarded themselves with a post-run beer. Week by week, the group grew. Today, MRC is a global community with over 100 local chapters worldwide. Members meet every first Saturday of the month and travel together to beer festivals and other events.
